The problem with this however - is how do you get the RAW images into the cloud from your camera? It's another process and relys on an internet connection. Has anybody been able to overcome this somehow without having to rely on an internet connection to first upload the image to the cloud?Īffinity allows you to import RAW images from the cloud (google drive / icloud drive) which means you get the image as it was shot, in all it's glory. ![]() ![]() It seems that any attempt to utilise these RAW images from another app - instead of the original RAW image being moved accross - the Photos App pushes the picture through as a jpeg. When you import images onto your iPad via the SD card reader / camera kit - they go into the native iOS Photos App. ![]() I'm considering the new Ipad Pro as a portable way of editing images on the go - but the clincher is being able to easily import RAW images from the camera either using the apple SD card reader, or camera kit - and to be able to work with the RAW images in Lightroom mobile or Affinity without complication.įrom what I've read, there is a major limitation with this workflow which disallows you to work with the RAW files.
